1What is the Crystal Entrepreneur Fund (eFund)?
The eFund is an open–ended mutual fund scheme which seeks to achieve capital growth for entrepreneurs by investing in money market instruments, listed equities and other regulated financial markets approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Fund is designed mainly for young entrepreneurs, students, parents and individuals who want to create their own business by investing towards their entrepreneurial goals. It is also for institutions that support entrepreneurial initiatives.
2How do I start investing in the Crystal Entrepreneur Fund?

4What is the Fund Structure?
The Fund will typically invest 60% -70% in securities listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange and any other regulated stock markets as well as 30% -40% into fixed income securities such as corporate bonds, fixed deposits and government debt instruments.
5How much can I invest?
The minimum investment purchase of shares under the IPO is set at 500 shares (GH₵100) and thereafter in multiples of 100 shares (GH₵20).

7How long should I be in the Fund?
An investor can invest in the eFund for as long as he or she wishes. The recommended minimum period is 4 years. However, an investor can withdraw all or part of his or her investment at any time within this period with a penalty of 2% in the first year, 1.5% in the second year and 1% in the third year.

12How can money be withdrawn (Shares be redeemed) from the investment?
Money can be withdrawn by making an application to the fund manager directly by filling the redemption form and the redemption is processed within a maximum of 5 working Days.
13How can an investor monitor the progress of his/her Crystal Entrepreneur Fund?
  • A contract note showing the number of shares purchased, amount deposited and the purchase price will be sent to clients by email.
  • Half year and annual statements will be sent by email to all clients.
  • Statements can also be printed or emailed upon request.

14What are the risks of investing in the Fund?
  • Macro-Economic Factors: The value of the Fund shall be subjected to the effect of interest rate changes, exchange rate fluctuations, inflation and all adverse changes in the economic environment.

Changes in the economy may either impact positively or negatively on stock market performance or cause price changes, which affect portfolio values.
